Foraging Adventure!

Taste the local flavors of northern California! Learn how to recognize & harvest edible species in the Santa Cruz, CA area on this ~2.5-hour walk.

Depending on location (we rotate locations with the seasons) we’ll be hiking in the redwoods, pines, creek sides and chaparral ecosystems, as a local foraging expert guides you through how to recognize wild food. We discuss harvesting techniques and how to read the ecosystem to find food & medicine. These classes are really fun and interactive! 

ITINERARY

We’ll meet at the designated location at the designated time sent upon registration. We walk at a very moderate pace through beautiful ecosystems for around 1-2 miles. Trails sometimes have hills (nothing too steep).

Get ready to have fun, sample some “trail snacks” and enjoy the abundance of nature
